A New Era for Malaysia’s Streetwear Scene
Malaysia’s iconic streetwear event, SneakerLah, is undergoing a major transformation. Instead of its ninth edition, the organizers have unveiled a more expansive and immersive lifestyle festival called LahLahLand 2025. This new event will take place over two days, on November 1 and 2, at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC).
LahLahLand is being described as a "reimagined version" of the original SneakerLah. While the core sneaker culture remains intact, the festival has expanded to include a wide range of interests such as art, music, sports, gaming, and food. The goal is to create a holistic cultural experience that appeals to a broader audience.
The original SneakerLah will now be a dedicated segment within this larger festival. This ensures that the essence of the event remains strong while offering attendees a more comprehensive experience.
Organizers have emphasized that attendees will get the best of both worlds—exclusive sneakers and merchandise from SneakerLah, combined with a bigger cultural celebration.
Diverse Zones and Activities
LahLahLand 2025 features several specialized zones and activities designed to cater to different interests. Among the highlights are:
- EsportsLah: A competitive esports tournament featuring popular games and local talent.
- SkateLah: A skateboarding competition along with workshops for enthusiasts of all skill levels.
- Main-MainLah: A vibrant market and exhibition showcasing toys, collectibles, and unique finds.
- PickleLah: A tournament for the rapidly growing sport of pickleball, attracting both beginners and seasoned players.
Streetwear lovers can look forward to exclusive drops and showcases from renowned local brands such as Hikari Riders, Aegis, Against Lab, Stoned & Co, and High Cultured. These brands will present their latest collections and limited-edition pieces.
Music Lineup That Keeps the Energy High
The music segment of the festival, known as ConcertLah, promises an exciting lineup of local artists. On Saturday, the event will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the local hip-hop collective RTB. Performances will include 53 Universe, Abang Sapau, Hullera, Sicarios, and DJ Vin.
Sunday's stage will feature a diverse array of acts, including Noh Salleh, No Good, Lunadira, Emo Night KL, and Karpet Terbang. This mix of genres and styles ensures there is something for every music lover.
Ticketing and Access
LahLahLand 2025 is a ticketed event. General admission tickets for both days are priced at RM30. For those looking for a more premium experience, VIP tickets are available for RM100. These tickets provide early access to the event and exclusive merchandise.
