KUALA LUMPUR: The Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Zafrul Aziz, stated that Malaysia would have faced higher tariffs if it had not entered into a trade agreement with the United States on Sunday. He emphasized that the Malaysia-US Reciprocal Trade Agreement has led to a reduction in tariffs from 25% to 19%, with 1,711 tariff lines valued at RM22 billion being eliminated.
